Europe boasts the second-largest machine tool market after China, and demand for machine tools for parts production is expanding across a wide range of sectors, centered on the automobile industry, including EVs, as well as the aircraft and medical equipment industries. In particular, there is growing demand in Western Europe, including Germany, for high-mix low-volume production.
Since fiscal year 2022, Brother has been intensively revamping its lineup by developing new SPEEDIO series models, and it now offers 12 models in eight series capable of meeting diverse needs such as large parts, complex machining, and high-mix low-volume production. In the Brother Group's medium-term business strategy "CS B2027," which concludes in fiscal year 2027, Brother has designated Europe and Southeast Asia, along with China, India, and Japan, as key regions for its industrial equipment business and is working to reinforce human resources and the sales facility network in these areas.

Currently, Brother Technology Centers are operated at seven locations in Japan*1 and 13 overseas*2. The facility, which has now been relocated and expanded within Bad Homburg, has become the second-largest overseas Technology Center after Shanghai. The showroom, which can now display almost the entire SPEEDIO series lineup, features nine models: the S500Xd2, S700Xd2-5AX/100T, W1000Xd2, R650Xd1 40tools, U500Xd2-5AX/100T, M200Xd1, M300Xd1, HU550Xd1, and Deburring Center DG-1. Customers may also bring their own parts for test processing and other purposes.

In addition, the company will step up service support activities to establish a system that enables customers to use its products with peace of mind even after purchase, while aiming for further business expansion in Europe.
