India, currently the world's most populous country, is expected to continue experiencing both population growth and economic expansion, and thereby growth in demand for machine tools, particularly in the automotive and two-wheeler sectors. With the goal of strengthening after-sales service, technical support, and marketing for machine tools, Brother opened a technology center in Bengaluru, southern India, in 2021. After that, in 2022, Brother established BROTHER MACHINERY INDIA as a subsidiary to oversee the machinery business in India, and in 2023, it established a Technology Center in the northern city of Gurugram. Then in 2024, BROTHER MACHINERY INDIA also started producing machine tools. Now, the third Technology Center in India has been opened in Pune, and with no bases in the western region of India, this will enable Brother to provide marketing and technical support closer to customers in the area. The showroom also displays five models of the SPEEDIO series compact machining centers (S700Bd1, S700Xd2, R450Xd1, M300Xd1-5AX, and H550Xd1), and is available to answer customer questions about part processing and for test processing requests.
With this new facility, Brother now has six Technology Centers in Japan*1 and 13 overseas*2.
