Brother Industries, Ltd. (Head Office: Nagoya; President: Kazufumi Ikeda) today announced that its subsidiary, BROTHER MACHINERY SHANGHAI LTD. (Head Office: Shanghai; President: Toshio Hisada), has established a new Technology Center in Tianjin, the People's Republic of China, which is its sixth Technology Center in China with a machine tool showroom. The Technology Center will be used as a facility for sales activities of machine tools, as well as for showcasing and demonstrating, hosting various seminars, performing test processing, and conducting service support activities.

Brother has established six facilities in Japan*1 and 11 overseas*2 called Technology Centers, which house showrooms to display machine tools, conduct sales activities, host various seminars, and conduct service support activities. This is Brother's sixth Technology Center in China, following those in Shanghai, Dongguan, Chongqing, Ningbo, and Nanjing.
In Tianjin, Brother opened a sales office in 2023 and has since been working to strengthen its sales activities in the surrounding areas. In particular, North China is an area with a strong manufacturing base centered on the automotive industry, and there is high demand for machine tools capable of metal cutting. To meet these demands, Brother has expanded the functions of its traditional sales office and established a new Technology Center with a showroom where product proposals using actual machines can be made. Three models of the SPEEDIO series (M300Xd1-RD, S700Zd1, and W1000Zd2) are on display at the Technology Center, and customers can bring their own parts for test processing.
The Technology Center will be used to strengthen service support activities, and to promote the high productivity of Brother's machine tools to customers through the hosting of various seminars, conducting machining demonstrations and test cutting.
