GoGreen Plus is a global initiative led by DHL to replace conventional aviation fuel with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) produced from raw materials such as waste cooking oil and food waste, and use it for air transport.

The Brother Group has set its environmental targets in "Brother Group Environmental Vision 2050," which aims to reduce CO2 emissions by achieving carbon neutrality*1 across all business operations and minimize CO2 emissions throughout the entire value chain by 2050. In addition, as a medium-term target toward 2050, the Group has set a target of reducing Scopes 1*2 and 2*3 emissions by 65% and Scope 3*4 emissions by 30% by FY2030 compared to FY2015 levels, and is working toward this target.

BIPH was established in 2012 as one of the Brother Group's main manufacturing facilities, producing printers, All-in-Ones, and labeling systems, as well as consumables, and ships them all over the world. BIPH is also proactively carrying out various environmental initiatives, such as installing solar panels on its premises, the largest area among the Brother Group's manufacturing facilities, and using recycled materials in products. In the future, BIPH aims to further reduce CO2 emissions by utilizing SAF for air transport for parts procurement and product shipping.

Brother will continue to actively work toward achieving a sustainable society through its business activities.

  1. Achieve zero CO2 emissions overall from the Brother Group
  2. Direct GHG emissions by business operators
  3. Indirect GHG emissions resulting from use of electricity, heat, and steam supplied by other entities
  4. Indirect GHG emissions other than Scope 1 and 2 (emissions by other entities related to the activities of business operators)
